Adamantium is is an advanced material.[2] It is perhaps the strongest material used by the Imperium, impenetrable to most commonplace weapons.[1] Like Plasteel, Armourplas and Synthleather, Adamantium is far more resilient than its archaic counterparts like steel, which are unable to resist advanced weaponry and are only used by primitive cultures.[2].

Adamantium is used for all sorts of purposes by the Imperium.[2] For example, it is the material composing the Imperial Palace's Eternity Gate[1], and is often used in conjunction with plasteel and ceramite, such as in the structure of Terminator Armour.
