Synth
From Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum
Synth[1], or also known as Synthetic[11], is a general Imperial term for any food[1] or material that is synthetically created by the Imperium. It has been noted that Synth fabric has a shininess to it, that real fabric lacks.[2a]
Known types of Synth
- Synthbrain, also spelled as Synth-brain - Used as processors by the Adeptus Mechanicus[5]
- Synthetic blood[11]
- Synth-fat[3]
- Synthetic Feathers, also called Synthetic Avian Plumage[7]
- Synthflesh[2c] or Synthetic Skin[10] - Can be applied to wounds with Synthetic Skin Applicators.[10]

- Synth-meat[1]
- Synthmuscle - Ropey strands of vat-grown muscle tissue, thick with slurried nutrients and laced with flakweave, are woven into existing muscle groups, granting increased strength of varying levels.[14] Often implanted in servitors.[15]
