Roma was the first battle honour won by the Imperial Fists when they were the Emperor's VII Legiones Astartes. What remains of it is a ceramite icon bearing the name which is considered too precious to be displayed even in the Inner Reclusiam aboard the Phalanx.[1][2] At least one of the Imperial Fists' Chapter Banners references the honour and prominently displays the name "Roma."[1]
It is not known for what heroic deed the Imperial Fists were awarded Roma. However, it is stated that the honour evidences the Legion's formation on Terra.[2]
