Talk:Roma
From Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum
There was an airborne mercenary-unit during the Unification wars, called the "Roma". The fought at least one campaign for the warlord Kalagann, detailed in the Chronicles of Ursh. (source: Horus Rising, part 2, chapter 6) Their last plane is put on display in a trophy-room of the Imperial Palace (source: Mechanicum, part 3, chapter 1), so they were probably wiped out by imperial forces. --DetlefK 15:19, 4 June 2012 (CEST)
- Speculation Mr K ;) But it should be discussed if a disambugiation would be in order or not. Previous to this I always had a place in mind, not a unit. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 12:29, 11 June 2012 (CEST)
- Depends. Is the speculation connecting "Roma" to "Rome" part of source No. 2? (Maybe it's a simple background-mixup: First came the WD-content in 2003, then the HH-novel in 2006.) --DetlefK 15:35, 11 June 2012 (CEST)
- From memory I'd say at least part of the stuff from source "2" is speculation. I'll check. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 16:08, 11 June 2012 (CEST)
- Here's the quote: "The 7th Legion had been formed on Terra as evidenced by its earliest battle honour 'Roma', now only discernable on a ceramite icon too precious even to be displayed in the Inner Reclusium." I will remove the rest. --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 16:10, 11 June 2012 (CEST)
