Codex: Necrons was writted by Andy Chambers, Pete Haines, Graham McNeill, Phil Kelly and Andy Hoare and released in 2002. It contains 65 pages, including the entire Necron army list and background information.
Although some people say that the new mythology in the book makes the galaxy and the Eldar specificly less important, I believe that this addition has added infinate enjoyability to the game and made the history very interesting.
