Maless Darkblade is a Drukhari Reaver in the Kabal of the Dark Blade, who was possessed by a powerful Daemon – together the two seek to commit cruelties undreamed of.[1]
History
Maless Darkblade was a Reaver pilot in the Kabal of the Dark Blade, riding his "noble steed" Spite into the summertime raid of the notorious Chaos city Skurminal following rumours whispered from the Crucibles of great treasures. Pleased with their take, the Dark Blade Lord ordered retreat, but dissatisfied for their lack of treasure Maless and his group of Reavers pressed on refusing to leave the city until he found great treasure.
Crashing through the rosette windows of a Chaos temple, the group found the Vault of Wishes, a door behind which Maless sensed great power. A fellow reaver stepped forward and read the inscription: "Step forward into the Vaults of Wishes and become as a God".
Wanting this godlike power for himself, Maless betrayed the fellow reavers, mercilessly killing them before opening the Vault of Wishes alone – stepping into their bright light, and immediately becoming engulfed in pain as a Daemon took Possession of his body and informed him of his new destiny: through him the Daemon would walk the stars anew and channel its abomniable power to commit cruelties undreamed of.
