Daemon Weapons are gifts of the Gods of Chaos, used by champions and Daemons of Chaos. Bound (sometimes willingly) in the form of the weapon, and imprisoned there for an eternity, is the spirit of a Daemon.
Deamon Weapons are only granted to the most powerful of a Chaos God's servants: Greater Daemons, Daemon Princes and still-mortal Champions of Chaos. Each weapon is unique and grants considerable power to those who wield it, however the daemon bound to the weapon can sometimes overcome the will of its would-be master.

Daemon Weapons of Khorne
- Axe of Khorne - An Axe of Khorne contains a bound Greater Daemon of Khorne and is filled with insatiable bloodlust. Axes of Khorne are wielded by Bloodthirsters, thay are also gifted on occasion to other followers of Khorne
- Berzerker Glaive - The Berserker Glaive is a weapon that the bearer must constantly fight with to remain in control of. The blade contains the bound essence of a Bloodletter which has been driven truly insane by its captivity.
- Bloodfeeder - Often in the form of an axe, the Bloodfeeder contains a raging Bloodthirster.
Daemon Weapons of Slaanesh
- Blade of the Laer
- Blissgiver Usually in the form of a whip or elegant blade, the Blissgiver enduces com in its victims
- Lash of Torment - The Lash of Torment is a living whip with wicked spikes along its length and is warm to the touch. It feeds on the pain and fear of its victims, amplifying such emotions and inducing terror in those nearby.3
- Needle of Desire - The Needle of Desire is a double ended needle, one end of which is permanently inserted into the champion, from whom it absorbs various poisons and toxins produced by champions of Slaanesh. The venom will throw anyone into a state of delirium and many simply shut down the moment the toxins reach their blood stream, so potent is the poison. They will often then remain slumped over the needle.3
Daemon Weapons of Nurgle
- Plaguebringer
- Manreaper - The Manreaper is a daemonicly possessed two-handed scythe, supposedly dipped in the filth seeping from the throne of Nurgle, that can kill multiple opponents in one motion. Also its daemonic touch saps the will of the targeted squad. It is primarily carried by Chaos Lords.2
- The Manreaper was the Death Guard Primarch Mortarion's weapon of choice, and others - including his elite guard, the Deathshroud - emulated his example. It is best known for being wielded by Typhus, the Herald of Nurgle, both before and after his eventual fall to Chaos4.
- Pandemic Staff - The Pandemic Staffs are vessels for the diseases of Nurgle when they are carried from the Warp to the materium and can be released in battle to feast upon enemy units.3
Daemon Weapons of Tzeentch
- Bedlam Staff - Bedlam Staffs originate during the Horus Heresy from within the Thousand Sons. Since they turned to Tzeentch the Bedlam Staffs have been held by many warriors and are steeped in the psychic remnants of many warriors. When they strike, Bedlam Staffs remove all thoughts from the minds of the target, making them pause temporarily3.
- In Dawn of War, the Bedlam Staff is Chaos Sorcerer Sindri Myr's melee weapon and it is extremely deadly against any infantry targets. It is not so effective against vehicles or buildings5.
- Deathscreamer
- Warp Blade - The Warp Blade is a Chaos Space Marine wargear upgrade, gifted by Tzeentch. The Warp Blade has the power to dissipate psychic energy directed towards it, as well as being a highly potent close combat weapon.3
Other Daemon Weapons
- Accursed Crozius - An Accursed Crozius is the ritually defiled weapon of a Dark Apostle, the former Chaplains of the Word Bearers Legion. At the time of the Horus Heresy, most Chaplains resisted the lure of Chaos and were slaughtered by their brother Astartes, however the Chaplains of the Word Bearers had the same fervent desire to find objects of worship as their Primarch Lorgar and so willingly turned to the dark devotion of Chaos.2
- To prove their dedication of faith to the Dark Gods, the Chaplains corrupted their once-sacred Crozius Arcanum, their badge of office and symbol of the Imperial faith. With such blasphemous actions, the Crozius were blessed with fell powers to show that no servant of the Emperor, even the strongest-willed, is immune to the call of Chaos. In battle, they now serve not only as both weapon and mark of rank, but also a powerful link between the bearer and the warp itself.2
- Anathame The anathame weapons possessed by the Interex could have been daemon weapons as well, having been cited by Jephta Naud as bearing curses, or something similar in nature, that make them inimical to their chosen target.1
- Artekus Scourge
- Blade of Phaedron
- Daemon Weapon (chaos undivided/unaligned)
- Dark Blade - The Dark Blade is jet black and contains no other marks to blemish its surface. The blade has a perfect darkness although the hilt, pommel and grip are often adorned. The blade feeds on the souls of its enemies and uses this power to force the bearer on to greater acts of savagery in order to sate its appetite.2,3
- Drach'Nyen The most famous of these Daemon weapons is the Daemon Sword Drach'nyen, carried by Abaddon the Despoiler and harbouring the daemon Drach'nyen. All that is known about Drach'nyen is that it can "rend reality apart". Also, unlike other weapons that occasionally attempt to subvert their bearer, Drach'nyen is under Abaddon's complete control.
- Dreadaxe - The Dreadaxe contains a vampiric being with a thirst for the souls of other daemons. It is almost inevitable that anyone who opposes this weapon will die quickly. They usually take the form of a highly decorated double-bladed axe.2
- Ether Lance - The Ether Lance is a gateway for warp power to surge into the materium and can be highly potent in both combat and at range. Bolts of deadly warp energy leap from the weapon over a wide area or lure enemies into the lance itself, utterly consuming them with warp energy.2
- Kai Gun - The Kai Gun was produced by the machine smiths of Kai when the Kai system was absorbed into the Eye of Terror by the warp storm Gae-sann. The smiths bartered their services for a measure of protection from the daemons of the warp and produced the Kai Gun in return. Eventually this deal came to an end when daemons descended on Kai and butchered the population, leaving only the massive, arcane bolter-like weapons as their legacy. The gun is massive and heavy, normally only moveable by two or more men, however a large daemon would have little difficulty with it. It acts as a conduit for the malice and hatred of its firer and melds them into tangible burst of energy.2
