A Target Lock is a Tau sensor package that can be applied to either team leaders and Battlesuits directly onto the suit or hard-wired into the user's brain or onto vehicles1,2. It allows the user to participate in more complex firing patterns than would otherwise be allowed, especially when used on vehicles.
