The Probators are the detectives of the Hive World Alecto's Enforcers.[Fn|1c]
They generally wear lighter armour and weapons than the Sanctioners.[Fn|1a] New recruits usually apprentice to existing Probators as junior investigators[Fn|1b], while their successful colleagues can achieve the rank of Senioris - with all the power plays that includes.
