The Order of the Glowing Chalice is a minor order of the Sisters of Battle, that are the spiritual descendants of the Order of the Ebon Chalice.^[1a]

Because of this, the Order is exacting in their standards of faith and martial prowess. They launch attacks during the Terran Dawn, when Terra rises over a war-torn world's horizon. Though they are far too distant for its light to reach them, the Order's Sisters still feel the Emperor's illumination falling upon them as they go to battle. The Glowing Chalice is known to have established a chain of sanctuaries across the coreward portion of the Vedill Sub-sector^[1a] and draw most of their members from the Schola Progenium on Vedill I.^[2] The Sisters have defended the Sub-sector from multiple Chaos incursions, frequently alongside the Tempestus Scions of the 9th Iotan Gorgonnes.^[1a]
