Byron
Byron is an Astra Militarum Sergeant in the 8th Cadian Regiment.[1]

They were among the Imperial forces that aided in the defense of the Tyranid invaded Recidious System. During the campaign to save the System, Byron was among the 8th Cadian that defended Kadaku from the Xenos. When the decision was later made to abandon the world, the Sergeant aided in the evacuation effort. Under the command of Major Sarkaana, Byron was defending an Astra Militarum base that Archmagos Nozick Beta-12 was taken to after his facility was attacked by Tyranids. Though she was charged with evacuating the Archmagos, Nozick refused to leave without the data of the secret project he was working on. In order to complete her mission, the Major sent three squadrons to the Archmagos' facility, which included one led by Byron. However, Sarkaana lost contact with all of them and thought they had been killed by the Tyranids.[1]
While the fate of the other two was unknown, Byron and his squadron still lived, though they had suffered heavy casualties. However with their Vox damaged, their fate would have been sealed had they not encountered the Ultramarines' Combat Squad Damocles. They were members of the Chapter's 2nd Company, which had also been aiding in defending the Recidious System, and were led by their commander, Lieutenant Demetrian Titus. They had been sent by their Captain, Sevastus Acheran, to evacuate Archmagos Nozick Beta-12 as well, but had run into the same difficulties with him, that the 8th Cadian had. Titus racing towards the Archmagos' facility to retrieve the data, when he encountered Byron's squadron being attacked by Tyranids. After saving the Guardsmen, Titus then contacted Sarkaana about the squadron and the Major sent a Valkyrie to transport Byron and the other survivors them back to her base. The Astra Militarum base was later under attack by the Tyranids, however, when Nozick successfully received the data from Titus. The Archmagos was then evacuated, as the 8th Cadian stayed behind and continued to defend the base from the Xenos. It is not known if Byron survived the battle.[1]
