Recidious System

The Recidious System is an Imperium controlled star system[1a] It is located in the southern portion of Segmentum Pacificus[3] in the Bastior Sub-sector.[4]
History
In M42, it was invaded by Hive Fleet Leviathan and among the Imperial forces that came to its defense, were the Ultramarines Chapter's 2nd Company, the Astra Militarum's Cadian 8th Regiment, the Adeptus Mechanicus, the Inquisition, the Deathwatch[1a] and the Imperial Navy.[1b] However, the Recidious System was later invaded by the Thousand Sons Traitor Legion as well, which has led to the Imperium now fighting both invading forces at once.[1a]
The Recidious System is also where Project Aurora was researched and further developed.[2]

Tyranid Invasion Timeline
- Day 2, 09:37:16: Deathwatch Kill Team Primus deploys a virus bomb on Kadaku to slow Tyranid invasion. The Ultramarines 1st Company and 2nd Company arrived in system to combat the Tyranid threat.[2x]
- Day 4: Kadaku is considered lost to the Tyranids as the xenos begin to consume the world.[2x]
- Day 4, 05:47:02 - Planetary Defence Base is recaptured by Imperial Guard and an Ultramarines squad. Orbital Defence Cannons are used to destroy a Hive Ship in low orbit.[2x]
- Day 4, 09:53:12 - The evacuation of the remaining high-value Mechanicus priests (including Archmagos Nozick Beta-12) and research data (Project Aurora artefact) from Kadaku is commenced.[2x]
- Day 4, 11:28:33 - Tyranid Capillary Towers loom over the world's surface while Hierophant Bio-Titans roam the surface defending the towers. Icarus Lascannons of an abandoned Imperial Guard fortress are used to slay a bio-titan and destroy capillary towers.[2x]
- Day 6: Leviathan splinter Hive fleet has reached Avarax.[2x]
- Day 6, 09:29:25 - The Resilient is en route to Avarax.[2x]
- Day 6, 10:49:15 - The Resilient is arrives in orbit of Avarax.[2x]
- Day 6, 13:41:02 - Thousand Sons forces reveal themselves.[2x]
- Day 6, 13:40:56 - Nova Cannon warhead is detonated within a hive city on Avarax, delivered via train.[2x]
- Day 7, 20:14:47 - Thousand Sons forces are battled on Demerium. Project Aurora is activated and then subverted by Thousand Sons manipulation. Ultramarines 1st Company returns and joins the battle on Demerium.[2x]
