Master of Ordnance
The Master of Ordnance is a specialist rank within the Imperial Guard, typically assigned to Command Squads.[1]
Artillery experts, they are trained and equipped with auspex identity-arrays, range-finding bionics, modified rangefinder servo-skulls,[1] a powerful vox system and a wrist-mounted cogitator[2] in order to more accurately direct artillery fire during combat. The Master of Ordnance communicates directly with his counterparts in artillery companies, relaying the location of enemy forces and calling down a deadly bombardment with an accuracy not otherwise possible.[1]
