Sanctia was a Shrine World of the Imperium. In 437.M36, the planet was assaulted by a warband of Orks which had been infected by Mortarion of the Death Guard. After the defending Adepta Sororitas had dealt with the blaoted Orks, Mortarion led his forces in an invasion that saw the planet fall in twenty hours.[1]
