Overview

Howdahs are platforms, positioned on the backs of large animals used to carry troops or to mount heavy weapons. The constructions can range in size, growing with the size of the beast used, from small platforms to multi-turretted castles.[2a]

Eldar

Exodite Megasaur and Brachiosaur with Howdahs.[3]

In times of war, the Eldar Exodites who usually herd livestock Dragon like the Megasaur and Megadon, and even the titanic building-sized Brachiosaur will instead mount Howdahs on their BEAST'S backs to ferry crews of as many as a dozen warriors[5] as well as a variety of heavy weapon galleries crewed two Eldar each[5] including Twin-Barreled Shuriken Cannons[4], Laser Cannons[5], Twin Prism Cannons[4], Fusion Lances[5].

Orks

Squiggoth Weapons Howdah[2]

Orks mount Howdahs on the backs of the massive wolly-tusked Squiggoth to carry Boyz and mounted weapons such as the Supa-lobba.[1] Feral Orks mount Howdahs on the backs of Orkeosaurus.
