The Cadian 110th 'Shadow Corps' is a Cadian Shock Troopers regiment. Elements of the unit turned to Chaos during the Third Aurelian Crusade, slaughtering their loyalist comrades.[1]

Overview

The Cadian 110th Shadow Corps specialise in stealth-insertion missions,[4h] using the shadows to their advantage.[4i] Inky black battledress and a penchant for stealth missions are the hallmarks of these stalwart veterans.[4m] The infantry of the Cadian 110th are adept at stealth insertion missions. They use minimal support, preferring the element of surprise over heavy firepower.[4n]

The Cadian 110th dull all their gear to avoid any tell-tale reflections,[4b] and any bright colours are rare,[4j] aside from the proudly displayed white "110th".[4k] This peculiarity even extends to the regiment's Commissars[4g] and Ogryns.[4l] Candles are also prohibited as armour decorations.[4o] Their armour is never shined to parade-polish quality - doing so would likely earn a soldier a demerit.[4c] The 110th utilise rebreathers that operate as quietly as possible[4h] and chain weapons whose machine spirits run as quiet as a whisper.[4f] The 110th prefer red tinted visors that are glare reactive[4e] and enhance the user's low-light visibility.[4d]

Psykers attached to the 110th sometimes utilise kine-shields.[4p]

During the Third Aurelian Crusade, the 110th Cadians set up an Air Command Bunker to call in airstrikes against anyone fighting them. Ultimately it was destroyed by Captain Apollo Diomedes and the Blood Ravens.[1]

Trivia

  • It is possible that loyalist elements still exist, or at least their battlegear still exists. They may have possibly served in the Moebian Domain, at some point.[4p]
