History
The Grand Battalion took part in the Battle of Tallarn alongside the rest of the Legion. The 18th Grand Battalion alongside the 40th, 49th, 61th and 102th grand battalions as well as remnants of several other depleted formations including the 23rd Armour Echelon took part in the Assault of the Sapphire City.[1b]

- Proioxis Macro-assault Wing — The tank formation proved pivotal in the annihilation of Loyalist super-heavies during the Fall of the Sapphire City and participated in the Iron Warriors’ greatest victories throughout the Tallarn campaign, the legacy of its brutal shock assaults writ in a trail of sundered tanks and breached shelters. The formation consisted of 6 Spartan Assault Tanks each carrying 10 Terminators and 3 Kratos tanks acting as defensive escort.[1d]
