The 501. Steel Legion was active during the Fall of Medusa V.^[1]

Commanded by Colonel Rommel, the unit fought in the Verdia Region where they took extreme casualties. As a result of his actions, which slowed the advance of the enemy in Verdia, the Colonel was awarded the Medallion Crimson.
