50th Armageddon

The Armageddon 50th Steel Legion is an Imperial Guard Regiment of the Armageddon Steel Legion.[1]

History
The regiment took part in fighting around the Infernus-Acheon Highway during the Second War for Armageddon. When the 9th Armageddon were encircled by ork forces the 50th were ordered to attempt to releive the 9th. Only a thin stretch of the line seperated the 9th and 50th regiments, but it was densely populated by orks. At the same time, the 9th, under Colonel Kerschlact, would attempt a break out towards the 50th.[1]
It was intended after the breakout succeeded for the units to attack the Zanthon Heights, however as Kerschlact died during the breakout this attack was not carried out.[1]
