The Bakkan Irregulars, a fleet-based regiment, operate from the Bakka Naval Base, but recruit from several nearby systems. While they may not yet have carved out a name for themselves (for good or ill) in the annals of Imperial history, the Bakkans are a solid fighting force, specialising in mass troop movements.[1i]

Recruitment & Training
Recruited and folded several understrength regiments from local systems and recruit from planets near Bakka.[1i][1a]
Appearance & Uniform
The Bakkans' striking uniforms are more suited to parade ground than frontline, but the they wear their bright uniforms with pride as they sight their foe down the barrels of their lasrifles, ready to show them the Emperor's Mercy with a disciplined volley.[1i]
The Bakkans prefer favour bright, dress uniforms for engagements, their armourers do at least try to apply some battlefield logic to their gear.[1a] The troopers of the regiment wear standard Agripinaa MK IXZ Flak Helmets[1a] or Scavenged Graia MK VZ Battle Helms[1b], Bakkan Pattern Fatigues with Flak Vest[1a] for both standard armour and fatigues and Bakkan MKIII Dress Fatigues[1a] or Bakkan MVI Dress Fatigues[1b] for trousers. Bakkan marksmen have the option to wear Lankast MK XD Sniper Hoods with goggles that incorporate sophisticated ranging optics.[1c]
Regimental preachers wear their own unique pattern armour and fatigues called Preacher's Bakkan Pattern Fatigues with Flak Vest that includes a personal prayer book.[1b]
Regimental Psykers are required to wear Harsh Environment Flak Helmet with Psykana Collar Full Flak Helmets are also worn due to their Commanders having seen the results when psykers become a little overzealous with their powers during conflicts and mostly to help contain explosions.[1d] Bakkan Psykers wear Bakkan Sanctionite Greatcoat with Flak Vest for fatigues and armour, with their shoulder cover marking out the psyker asset within Bakkan ranks; this carries ceremonial significance rather than any tactical advantage.[1d] Psyker wear Bakkan Mk1 Dress Fatigues for trousers.[1d] Bakkan Psykers also have the option to wear a Bakkan Scrier's Cowl, a cowl that contains sophisticated crystalline circuitry woven into the fabric to help warp-attuned wearers to access and regulate their powers[1f] or Bakkan Rebreather with Psykana Circuitry depending on local terrain.[1g]
Ogryns wear Harsh Environment Flak Helmets with particle filters to help against dust storms, for armour and fatigues, Ogryns wear Bakkan Pattern Fatigues with Flak Vest(XXXXL) and Bakkan MKIII Fatigues (XXXXL) for trousers.[1e] Ogryns on "Sapper" duty wear specialised headgear called Sapper's Lids and with orders to walk in front of tanks to trigger enemy mines - tanks cost a lot to replace but Ogryns not so much.[1h]
