6th Company, Imperial Fists Legion
The 6th Company of the Imperial Fists Legion is known to have been active during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[1][3]
History
By the time of the Battle of Phall, the majority of the Astartes of 6th Company were natives of Inwit, rather than Terra.[1] At the time, the company numbered around 1,300 Marines.[3]
At the outbreak of the Horus Heresy, the 6th was part of the Imperial Fists' Retribution Fleet sent to confront Horus at Isstvan. They subsequently took part in the Battle of Phall. During the battle, Space Marine Captain Tyr led a boarding assault on the Iron Blood, the Iron Warriors flagship, and managed to reach Perturabo's throne room before being stopped. Most of the Marines were killed save one, who was captured and given over to Apothecary Fabius of the Emperor's Children.[3]
