History
The 77th Grand Battalion remained loyal to the Imperium during the Horus Heresy. By 006.31M the 77th Grand Battalion appeared on Paramar V during the time of the Horus Heresy after 4 gruelling decades of war on the Therikon Wastes. Ignorant of the ensuing conflict, the Grand Battalion was attacked by Alpha Legion forces, forcing the Iron Warriors to take part in the battle for Paramar V. By the time of the Horus Heresy, the 77th Grand Battalion consisted of 2,800 Legionaries.[1a]
