901st Tactical Wing

The 901st Tactical Wing are an Imperial Navy Valkyrie squadron.[1]
The Wing is attached to Battlefleet Ajax and is made up of Valkyries and Vultures.[1a]
History
The 901st took part in the war on Kanai Tertius, where it took devastating losses at the hands of a massive Ork air armada led by a Sky Gargant over the Eji Valley.[1b] During the battle nearly the entire 901st was wiped out including all of Vagabond Squadron save its Captain Cassandra Elza, who in the aftermath was celebrated as the hero of the battle.[1c]
