Adeptus Vaelarii

The Adeptus Vaelarii, or Sentinels of the Veil, are an Imperial organisation of Space Marines dedicated to the defense of the Elara's Veil region of space. Since the formation of the Great Rift, they have become cut off from the wider Imperium.^[1b] The last person chosen to lead the Sentinels, a position with the title of Warlord, was Ekene Dubaku of the Celestial Lions. Dubaku fulfilled this role while simultaneously leading the Exodus Armada and acting as the de facto regent of the Veil.

Allied Forces

The Adeptus Vaelarii are composed exclusively of those two remaining Space Marine chapters dedicated to the defense of Elara's Veil, however there are other Imperium forces dedicated to the defense of this region of space. The Celestial Lions are also aided by an unknown number of Black Templars, warriors of the Elysium Crusade, who escorted the nearly-destroyed Lions back to Elysium following their disastrous campaign during the Third War for Armageddon and remained to fight alongside them during their rebuilding.
