The Aeronef is a type of Imperial racing airship.[1a]
Description
The sleek, bullet-shaped Aeronef is kept afloat by a gas envelope, under which a passenger cupola is mounted. The cupola is topped with a cowl of transparent glassteel, allowing passengers to view the passing landscape. The Aeronef is, after becoming untethered from the building it was docked to, propelled by unfurled sails.[1a]
The Aeronef can, once it has reached its optimal altitude and riding a planet's jet stream, be as fast as a cruising Thunderhawk.[1b]
