Age of the Living Muse
From Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum
The Age of the Living Muse is the current age of the Dark Eldar's chronology. It followed the Age of Plenty which came to a catastrophic end with the Battle of Khaine's Gate.[1]
Notable Events
- Increased raids into the Imperium thanks to the formation of the Great Rift, despite the devastation its creation causes Commorragh.[1]
- The assassination of Asdrubael Vect by Mandrakes working at the behest of an unknown conspirator. However at Vect's funeral, the attending Archons are massacred by a force of Harlequins of the Masque of the Veiled Path. Their blood is used to resurrect Vect, who becomes imbued with a new power. The Prophets of Flesh resurrect much of the dead, however they are reborn as mere slaves to Vect's will. Vect declares himself a living Dark Muse, his position now unassailable.[1]
- The raid on Vorgan
- Many Dark Eldar join the Ynnari, forcing Vect to conspire on how to end Yvraine.[1]
- The Dark Eldar Civil War. Vect instigates large-scale civil strife within Commorragh as a means to quell Ynnari influence.[2]
