Ainbataar Khan
Ainbataar Khan was a stern Khan in the White Scars Legion, who took part in the Horus Heresy's Siege of Terra.[1]
Biography
Near the end of the Siege, Ainbataar and the White Scars attempted to reclaim the Lion's Gate Space Port from the Death Guard. By then, he was among their senior leadership who had distinguished themselves and had reputations that resonated across the Legion.[1]
It was during that time, that Ainbataar and the White Scar Gahaki Khan, were chosen to be the bodyguards of the Legion's honoured ally Ilya Ravallion. The two would later escort her to the Imperial Palace's Sanctum Imperialis alongside their Primarch Jaghatai Khan, who was rushed there after being mortally wounded, as the White Scars reclaimed the Lion's Gate Spaceport. Once there, the Primarch was taken to a secretive location in an effort to save his life and afterwards, Ravallion asked to be taken to the Sanctum's Tower of Hegemon. This was the last war room for the Imperium's forces on Terra and Ravallion wished to join it so she could help in any way she could. But after arriving there, Ravallion told Ainbataar and Gahaki, that they no longer needed to safeguard her and she relieved them of their duties. They both protested this, but Ravallion stated the Hegemon was heavily defended and the two Khans would be better suited in helping the Imperial forces defending the Sanctum. The two reluctantly agreed and then did as Ravallion asked of them.[2]
