Aionos is a moon which orbits the gas giant Kylasma. It lies near the Statheros System.[1a]
At night its parent gas giant took up over a third of the sky. The planet was covered in the wreckage of civilian ships,[1a] as well as ancient xenos pyramids,[1b] implied to be Necron.[1d]
Around a hundred years before the Second War of Armageddon Commissar Yarrick and the 252nd Steel Legion deployed to the moon to engage with a Chaos warband led by the Heretic Astartes of the Harkanor's Reavers warband.[1c] The ancient xenos within the pyramids would awaken as Yarrick's force left the moon.[1d]
