Althalos
Althalos was a Chapter Master of the Dark Angels Legion during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy and Castellan of the Star Fort Chimaera.[1]
Biography
Althalos was assigned Castellan of the Star Fort Chimaera by Luther and send with a fleet to the Alaxxes Nebula to conquer worlds. He and his fleet were in the nebula for fifty-nine years before the nebula became a battleground for a war between the Space Wolves and Alpha Legion. During the Battle of the Alaxxes Nebula, not knowing which legion was on the loyalist side, Althalos decided to send out two spies. Ormand was sent to the Hrafnkel to spy on the Space Wolves, while an unknown other spy was send to the Alpha to spy on the Alpha Legion. Ormand reported the Space Wolves' continued loyalty to the Emperor and Althalos ordered his star fort and fleet to support the wolves against the Alpha Legion.[1]
After the Dark Angels won the battle, Althalos requested the primarch Leman Russ to join him on the Chimaera. The two forged an alliance and a trade. Althalos supplied the severly wounded Space Wolves fleet with materials and weapons, while Leman Russ provided information about the greater civil war.[1]
After this meeting Althalos returned to Caliban.[1]
