Aristea was a member of the Adeptus Custodes, who took part in the Horus Heresy's Siege of Terra.[1]

History

She survived the invasion, which which ended with the Imperium victorious, after the Emperor slew the traitorous Warmaster Horus. However, the Emperor was grievously wounded in the battle and none knew if He would survive or be able to lead the Imperium once more. This greatly impacted Aristea, as the Emperor was not even able to communicate to the Adeptus Custodes. As the Imperial Palace was being reconstructed in the Seige's aftermath, she was among the Custodes who protected the Sanctum Imperialis' Inner Sanctum, which led to the Golden Throne. Aristea would then guard the Sanctum chamber that the Ultramarines Primarch Guilliman used, as he organised Terra's rebuilding.[1]

As she did so, Aristea was approached by the Ultramarines' Chief Librarian, Titus Prayto, who sought to meet with his Primarch. Before doing so though, Prayto asked Aristea how the Emperor was. The question surprised her and caused Aristea to lose the self-control the Adeptus Custodes were known for. This allowed Prayto to see Aristea express a look of fear, as she truly did not know. However this was a brief moment, before Aristea regained her composure and told the Chief Librarian that the Emperor would soon return to them. She then opened the chamber's door for Prayto, who sensed that his question had unnerved her and Aristea desperately wanted him to leave.[1]
