Ashenfell is an Imperial Ice World, that is located in the Chalnath Expanse.[1]
History
It was originally known as Thorakleo IV and was an industrial hub, that was powered by rivers of molten lava. However, the world's volcanoes later fell silent and this led to the abandonment of its Manufactorums. Thorakleo IV's surface eventually became covered by ash and ice, which led to the world being renamed as Ashenfell.[1]
It became a warzone during the Chalnath Expanse Campaign, but disaster struck the Imperial forces fighting there, when the world was invaded by an Ork Waaagh!. Canoness Selicia of the Order of Our Martyred Lady is now leading an Adepta Sororitas strike force to Ashenfell to aid them. Though they are outnumbered, Selicia has been charged with attacking the Xenos in order to relieve the besieged Imperial forces.[1]
