Astoric was a Captain of the Dark Angels Legion during the Great Crusade, where he served under Chapter Master Astelan. During the Crusade he took part in the invasion of the planet Byzanthis, after the diplomatic efforts of Chapter Masters Astelan and Belath failed to bring it peacefully into the Imperium.^[1]
