Astynomia
The Astynomia are the planetary Enforcer security force for the Adeptus Mechanicus.[1a][1e] They recruit from members of the Mechanicus who succeed in passing the Astynomia's selection examinations.[1d]

Description
They are also found on Imperial worlds that contain Mechanicus enclaves and the Astynomia have jurisdiction over crimes committed there. Should they be required to work with non-Mechanicus organisations, the Astynomia might use a liaison. If tech heresy is suspected, this liaison might be a member of the Collegiate Extremis.[1b] The Collegiate Extremis' normal duties, though, can lead to conflict with the Astynomia and there are long-standing suspicions between the two organisations[1c]. However, the Collegiate does recruit members of the Astynomia, who have excelled within its ranks.[1d]
Promising candidates that excel in their selection exams might catch the notice of the Lords Dragon on their Forge World and be offered a role in the Collegiate Extremis.[1c]
Crimes that might elicit the attention of the Astynomia can include murders committed by rogue servitors.[1b]
