Asur is a barren moon[1a] or planet[2] located in a pocket-realm of the Webway[3a] far from the Universe.[1a] Asur was settled by Asurmen and his disciples after the Fall of the Eldar. It was named Asur in honour of Asurmen.[2] A temple of Khaine[1] on the planet became the site of the first Aspect Warrior Shrine, a nexus of martial focus where the Asurya were trained and from which the Asurya set off across the galaxy forever opening the Path of the Warrior.[2] During that era, the world was habitable by wildlife, including the Great Mantises from which Drazhar draws his fighting style.[4] Some time after the Asurya left the world it was overrun by Daemons of Khorne.[1a]

The First Shrine

The first aspect shrine was a temple to Khaine. The temple's inner sanctum is hexagonal with stone floors and walls decorated with frescos and friezes of Eldar Myths including the War in Heaven on its wall and faces of the six Primary Aspects of Khaine equidistent on the ceiling forged of iron beaded with bronze. At the center of the chamber is a pedastal inlaid with runes and crystals which divide into six colored segments, each positioned under the visage of an aspect: blue, green, red, black, grey, and white – atop the pedastal is Asuryan's Heart, the Asurentesh, a swirling crystal orb of fog which rises as their hands are placed on their respective runes on the pedastal to give the Asurya visions and prophecy.[1a] The whole assemblage was originally maintained by the Fatecallers of the library of Biel-Tanigh, although the Asurentesh is more ancient than their order, and relocated to the First Shrine when Maugan Ra joined the Asurya.[3b]
