Athelaq Sector
The Athelaq Sector is a sector of the galaxy.[1]
History
In late M41, an Ork Waaagh! led by Warlord Grimtusk Bloodboila arose in the Athelaq Sector: by 895.M41 the Waaagh! threatened to engulf the entire sector in war. Although the only Imperial forces that could respond to the threat were the Space Wolves (specifically the Great Company of Egil Iron Wolf), they were almost surrounded by the Orks. However, the Space Wolves received unexpected assistance from an Aeldari warhost, consisting of Aspect Warriors led by the Autarch Elenduil. The Aeldari were able to prevent the Orks from encircling the Space Wolves, allowing Egil's tanks to land decisive strikes on the Orks' forward troops. After weeks of hard fighting, Warlord Grimtusk was killed.[1]
Later the Aeldari visited Egil Iron Wolf under a flag of parley, bearing the slain bodies of Space Wolves that they had recovered from the sector's battlefields. However, a mistranslation during the ceremony sparked a chain reaction, with insults leading to open fighting. Eventually the sector was embroiled in all-out war between the Space Wolves, Aeldari and the remaining Orks.[1]
