Axonar Spirewar

The Axonar Spirewar took place in 830.M41, when the Blood Angels were deployed to Axonar to quell the anti-Imperial rebellion there.[1]
Commander Dante sent the 3rd and 4th Companies to quell the rebellion, which found the rebels heavily dug in at the planet's hive cities. Deciding that these defences were too strong to risk a frontal assault, Captain Metraen deployed his Assault Squads in a series of low-orbit Jump Pack assaults on the upper spires, bypassing the rebels' defence emplacements. Sandwiched between the Space Marines and their own defence batteries, the rebels quickly surrendered.[1][2]
