Bakka System
The Bakka System is a system of Imperial space.[1]

Overview
It lies close to the Galactic Core. By the late Great Crusade-era, the Bakka System was one of the most heavily populated systems in the entire Segmentum, and was the largest concentration of human life close to the Core. It served as a staging post for the Imperial Army, covering a large swathe of the galactic south.[1]
At the time, the system possessed a very large orbital docking facility, one of the largest outside the Sol System and certainly the largest between the Galactic Core and Ultramar.[1]
History
At some point during the Great Crusade, the Ultramarines Legion mustered at Bakka in preparation for the Karanthas Crusade.[1]
During the Horus Heresy, the Word Bearers vessel Furious Abyss (at the time engaged in a running battle against a small loyalist Imperial fleet) was forced to dock in the Bakka System to affect repairs after being hit by a lucky shot from the Waning Moon that damaged its fuel lines.[1]
