Ball-tree

Ball-trees are a strange type of tree native to Damask. They are bulbous globes of cellulose filled with lighter-than-air gases generated from decomposition processes deep inside them. They drift around like herds of livestock in the wind, dragging their trailing root systems behind them. Bumping into each other, the squealing trees vent out plumes of gas above the tree herd.[1]
