Balthasar is a planet that was conquered during the Great Crusade by the Luna Wolves. Garviel Loken was almost killed there when he was attacked by an aggressive indigenous animal called a hatchet-beak. Since then Loken kept a feather from this creature in his room, as a memento.[1]
