Banefail

Banefail was an Intendant of the Administratum who was active on Verghast during the Sabbat Worlds Crusade.[1a]
He was the main representative of the wider Imperium based in Vervunhive. Notably, when Vervunhive was attacked by the corrupted Hive Ferrozoica, Banefail subverted the authority of the Hive's ruler, High Master Salvador Sondar; Sondar considered the defence of Vervunhive was a purely internal matter, but Banefail disagreed and instead sent word to Warmaster Macaroth.[1a] As the hives of Verghast were considered vital to the Crusade's ongoing progress, Macaroth diverted a number of Imperial Guard Regiments to Vervunhive's aid.[1a][1b]
