Bannick Vardamon Vor Anselm Lo Bannick[2] was a Paragonian officer of the Astra Militarum.[1b][2]

Biography

Vardamon was a member of the Paragonian Clan Bannick; his brother was the clan's Chief Auditor.[1b]

In 395.M41, Vardamon was a Captain of the Paragonian 62nd regiment. He was part of an Imperial wargroup that fought in the Indranis Campaign. After the campaign had been won, the wargroup called in at Paragon in order to gather reinforcements before their next planned action on Kalidar IV, allowing Vardamon the chance to visit home for the first time in years (from his perspective, more than 20, although to the people of Paragon itself, 9 - the difference due to time dilation during Warp travel).[1b]

While on Paragon, he was approached by his nephew, Colaron Artem Lo Bannick. Colaron wished to join the Astra Militarum and sought Vardamon's sponsorship to void his clan exemption that would otherwise prevent him from signing up. Vardamon initially tried to warn Colaron away from this course of action, believing that Colaron was throwing away the wealth and prestigious position he was set to inherit for a chance of glory and not considering the extreme danger involved.[1b] However, Colaron was in fact trying to atone for the stain he had inflicted on Clan Bannick's honour after Colaron had killed his cousin in a duel. After he told Vardamon this, the Captain reluctantly sponsored Colaron's application.[1a][1b]

By 398.M41 Vardamon had received a promotion to the rank of Lord Colonel. He was part of the Imperial battlegroup sent to pacify the planet Geratomro.[2]
