Battle of Black Gulch

The Battle of Black Gulch was a battle between the Deathwatch forces led by Watch Captain Holgjar Ironfang and Orks, sometime after the Great Rift's creation. The battle went poorly for Ironfang's forces and they would have met their end at the hands of the Orks, had Kill-Team Pharanos not unexpectedly come to their aid. Due to the Kill-Team's efforts, the Orks were held back long enough for Ironfang and what remained of his forces to escape, the Xenos' grasp.[1]
