Bethor
Brother Bethor is the Chapter Ancient of the Dark Angels Space Marine chapter. As the Dark Angels' Chapter Ancient, Bethor is entrusted with the chapter's three sacred standards—the Standard of Devastation, Standard of Fortitude and Standard of Retribution.[1]
Biography
Bethor's tenure as chapter ancient began after feats of valour during the Cleansing of Durganion XIII, during which he reclaimed the 3rd company's banner from a Genestealer brood.[1]
Near the end of the Battle of Piscina IV He arrived on the planet alongside Azrael and his entourage. For this event he carried the Standard of Retribution[2]
Years later, when the Dark Angels severed their ties to the Piscina System, Bethor lowered the Dark Angels Banner for the world, folded it and handed it to Azrael, and then took it again from him. This was the extent of the ceremony for severing their ties.[3]
