Biter, or Bites-Face-Of-The-Face-Biter-Before-It-Can-Bite in the Ork tongue, is a Blood Axe who serves the Warlord Ghazghkull Thraka.[1b]

History

In M42, however, his Blood Axe warband began trading information about the Warlord to Inquisitor Lord Falx. In exchange, she provided them with Imperial weapons and worlds the Blood Axes could safely raid. In the wake of the Space Wolves Wolf Lord Ragnar Blackmane and Ghazghkull Thraka's battle on Krongar, the warband captured a key figure in the Warlord's forces. The Blood Axes knew the Inquisitor Lord sought to discover how Thraka's ascendance came to be and offered to give their captive to her for a high price. Falx agreed and paid the Blood Axes' 120 Imperial weapons, of various sizes, and another 15 worlds the warband could raid.[1a] Many have lost their minds trying to unravel the mystery of Thraka's rise to power[2], but after trading with the Warband[1a], Falx now had in her custody the one creature in the universe who claims to know the truth of it all: The Warlord's Banner bearer, Makari the Grot. As he did not speak or understand Imperial Gothic, though, Biter accompanied Makari and acted as an interpreter for the Inquisitor Lord.[1b]

Ultimately however it was revealed that Biter was simply cooperating with the Inquisition to gain access to Makari's location. After telling the Grot's tale, he used his security clearance to alert an incoming Ork armada to their location. He was able to escape with stolen information as the Ork ships approached.[1c]
