Black Manse
The Black Manse, also known as the Whispering Tower[3], is the personal fortress of Mortarion, Daemon Primarch of the Death Guard.[1]
Located on Munificence, it is located on the greatest of the seven peaks of the world and from space is said to resemble the tri-lobed symbol of Nurgle.[2] The greatest of the seven keeps of the Plague Planet, the Black Manse also serves as the headquarters of the 7th Plague Company, who act as its wardens. Within Mortarion sits upon his throne protected by the Death Shroud.[3] Inside the fortress are the Daemon Primarch's personal laboratories, astronomical observatory, and personal library of forbidden lore.[1]
The Black Manse also houses some of the mightiest war relics of the Death Guard, tools of destruction said to have been created by Mortarion personally and bestowed only to his greatest champions. In the deepest reaches of the Black Manse are the Legion's Gene-Seed vault and horrifying dungeons.[1] So deep underground does this complex go that is said not even Mortarion knows its true expanse.[3]
The Black Manse connects to the Warp itself, and can be used to journey to the Garden of Nurgle or vice-versa.[4]
