Black Holes are powerful gravitational singularities which are known to exist within the galaxy. They pose significant dangers to voidship navigation in both realspace and the warp.^[1b]

Overview

The exact nature of Black Holes are unknown, supposedly even to the most advanced races. Belisarius Cawl speculates that not even Humanity at its peak during the Dark Age of Technology knew of their true nature, while ancient Necrontyr records indicate they believed them to be the graveyards of their most powerful star gods. It is unknown if they are related in some way to the Warp, or are otherwise independent of it.^[1b]
