Blade of the Hydra

The Blade of the Hydra was long ago just an oversized chainsword that the Alpha Legion used purely for ceremonial purposes. This immediately changed when the Daemon Prince Gharual of the Nine Sundered Souls was bound inside it, making the chainsword a fiendish tool of destruction. Only those of the Alpha Legion with wills strong enough to control its multiple thirsting mindsets, brought about by the bound Daemon Prince, can cause the Blade of the Hydra to shimmer into not one, but several chainswords that gnaw and gnash with an immortal hunger. These extra chainswords are insubstantial when the wielder wills it and razor-sharp when the flesh of his enemies is near.[1]
