Blood Gruel

Blood Gruel is food eaten by the Blood Angels Chapter and it contains thick blood from an unknown source, as well as hunks of raw meat, that bob on the Gruel's surface.[1]
Description
It is given to new Neophytes in covered bowls after they awaken, as the Gruel contains substances that will aid their still changing bodies. This includes a necessary nutrient balance and certain preparations, that ensure the Neophytes' new organs finish their maturation process. The Blood Gruel also rids the Neophytes of any thirst they feel, due to the influence of the Blood Angels' Gene-seed.[1]
