Blood Storms

The Blood Storms were a series of massive Daemon invasions on Systems near Ultramar.[1][2]
History
The Blood Storms suddenly struck the Systems adjacent to the Realm of Ultramar without warning some time in between M34 and M37.[2] In order to protect their home, the Ultramarines Chapter attack the infested Systems, in a campaign that lasts for decades and costs the lives of three of its Chapter Masters.[2] Despite the cost though, when the campaign ends the Ultramarines had succeeded in preventing the Daemons and their corruption from reaching Ultramar.[1]
One of these attacked systems was the Tartella System.[2]
