Mk.3 500lb Bomb and Mk.17 Incendiary Bomb[1]
The Bomb is an aircraft weapon which can be mounted on a number of different Imperial Aircraft.[1] Imperial gravity-assisted Bombs are spin-stabilised and are equipped with an iridium penetrator fuse to pierce through armour before detonating.[9]
Primarily used for breaking up infantry formations or leveling small buildings, it can be devastating when applied well.[2]
Types
- General Purpose High-Explosive Bomb — Typically 500lbs designed for use against infantry, vehicles, and structures.[2] Patterns include the Mk.3 500lb General-Purpose Bomb.[1]
- Heavy General Purpose High-Explosive Bomb — Typically 1,000-1,500lbs for highly destructive bombing against war machines, fortifications, and buildings.[2]
- Incendiary Bombs — Filled with highly flammable material such as Promethium, which set targets alight rather than the size of their explosions.[2] Patterns include the Mk.17 Incendiary Bomb.[2]
- Phosphex Bomb — Deadly incendiary munitions which use Phosphex.[5]
- Smart Bombs — Smart munitions which use guidance systems to hit their target.[3]
- Colossus Bomb[3]
- Bio-wire Bomb — Biological weapon.[4]
- Atomic Bomb — Use nuclear fission.[6]
- Mole Bomb — Burrowing munition.[7]
- Antimatter Bomb[8]
